Flue Gas Desulphurization


  Since 1985, the Department of Thermal Engineering at Tsinghua University has initiated research on flue gas desulphurization and dedicated to developing independent desulphurization technologies. Now, Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Tongfang Co., Ltd have 8 patents on flue gas desulphurization and successfully developed liquid column jet desulphurization technology and dry circulating fluidized bed desulphurization technology. In larger power plant flue gas desulphurization projects, Tsinghua Tongfang cooperated with international companies to import the most advanced spray pump desulphurization technology, and provided clients with the best products and service. Tsinghua Tongfang has successfully carried out many flue gas desulphurization demonstration projects in many industries and brought up a team experienced in project design, construction, management, and technological research and development.

Wet Limestone (Lime)-Gypsum Flue Gas Desulphurization

  Tsinghua Tongfang liquid column jet desulphurization technology is an independent technology developed by the State Laboratory of Clean Coal Combustion at Tsinghua University. The technology is based on more than ten years of laboratory research and advanced overseas experiences on desulphurization, thus satisfying our country’s conditions. This technology can clean the flue gas containing acidic gases such as sulfur dioxide efficiently. The liquid column jet desulphurization system consists mainly of slurry production system, reaction tower system, products disposal system, flue gas system, water system, and control system. At the same time, in view of the large-scale power plant flue gas desulphurization, we established good relations with famous international flue gas desulphurization companies.

Technical Features
  The technology employs advanced liquid column tower, which can prevent the system from depositing and blocking effectively, and decrease the system’s resistance remarkably. The technology also has many other advantages such as high reliability and safety, stable operation, low construction and maintenance costs, high desulphurization efficiency and good adjustability to the variation of the boiler’s load.

 

Dry Circulating Fluidized Bed Desulphurization Technology

  Dry circulating fluidized bed desulphurization technology is a patent technology developed by Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Tongfang. The technology utilizes the principles of circulating fluidized bed in desulphurization and removes hazardous substances such as sulfur dioxide by circulating large amounts of desulfurizers which react with the acidic gases in the circulating fluidized bed’s reactant tower.

Technological Features
  The techniques of the system are quite simple and take up little space. The construction and maintenance cost is low while the utilization and desulphurization efficiency are high.

Applications
  The technology is suitable for disposal of the hazardous flue gases in power plants, metallurgy factories, chemical engineering factories, and waste incinerators.
